Reviewing our journal鈥檚 actions for change

The International Journal of Art Therapy’s actions for change were developed in response to the calls of #BlackLivesMatter, following the murder of George Floyd during the Covid 19 pandemic, urging us all to re-examine the inclusivity of our institutions. Ten actions were made to begin this crucial process.

About our actions for change

Our actions for change were developed in collaboration with the journal’s editorial board and a diverse group of members of the 香港六合彩开奖结果记录, and their colleagues, with a breadth of lived and clinical experience and who provided invaluable consultation.

We hoped the actions would support the identification of discrimination and systematic racism throughout the journal鈥檚 practices and barriers in academic publishing in general for those who may not fit the norm. We hoped they would begin an active addressing of issues of inequality, racism, and bias in all areas of the journal work, challenging non-inclusive trends and creating more diverse content, authorship, reviewer networks, and readership.
